Micro Vacuum Attachments ~a game changer for machine clean out.
Have you ever had your machine grumble at you because you put off cleaning it? I was surging the other day and my machine started throwing a fit because it was dirty. I grabbed my air and blew it out, but there was still lots of gunk inside. I thought to myself there has to be a better way to do this. I didn’t want to take the time to brush and blow my machine, after all I had sewing to do! I grabbed my phone and searched amazon. Not entirely sure what to look for, but secretly hoping to find an elf that would do the work for me. I didn’t find an elf but instead the next best thing, micro vacuum attachments! https://www.amazon.com/Schneider-Industries-Micro-Vacuum-Attachment/dp/B000BSJCLY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516825359&sr=8-3&keywords=micro+vacuum+attachment+kit
I am not going to lie, I was not even sure these would work. They were $5 with the Amazon add on promotion, so I went for it. My new vacuum has a click on port for the tools because of this I had to get out my older portable vacuum. So, if you only have a vacuum with click on attachments this won’t work for you. Although I would be/am tempted to purchase an inexpensive vacuum like this to keep in my sewing space: https://www.amazon.com/Eureka-EasyClean-Lightweight-Handheld-71B/dp/B0006HUYGM/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1516825620&sr=8-11&keywords=portable+hose+vacuum.
The tools come with seven attachments. I found the mini brush and crevice attachments to be the most helpful.
Using these attachments I was able to get the gunk that the air had left behind. I was also able to contain the filth, so, I had no need to clear off all the fabrics and what not stacked behind my machines (not sure this is a good thing).
These tools are a dream and are worth every bit of that $5.
In 20 minutes I was able to clean all three machines with minimal effort. My machines are now lint free and the ones that need it are ready for some lube.
