Petite Stitchery & Co. Valentines Day Blog Tour

Petite Stitchery & Co. Valentines Day Blog Tour

Over the last few weeks I have come to love Petite Stitchery & Co. patterns. So when this blog tour opened applications I immediately jumped on it.  I love having the opportunities to try new patterns and share them with you.

For the Petite Stitchery &Co Valentines Day Blog tour hosted by Seams Sew Lo not only do I get to show off a mommy and me set but the pattern each blogger chose will be on sale the day of their stop on the blog tour! So if you love either of these I'm about to show you grab them here.  If you fall in love with the fabric like I did you can get that here. There is also a smaller scale of the same print here.

Adelyn Point Dress.

To start I made a couple minor alterations to this pattern.

1) I cut the back mirror instead of on fold to be able to squeeze top out of 2 yards.

2) I covered the back seam on both dresses with lace trim.

Other than that I made it as the pattern is written.

I chose a top version for myself and the dress for my daughter.

When I try a new pattern I typical do a straight size on whatever my bust measurement falls in with no fit adjustments since every design and designer is different its usually anyone's guess if the final is going to  fit great or be too big every where but the bust.  This top I love the fit of everywhere but the shoulders so next time I will probably grade sizing and do a full bust adjustment. Over all I'm happy with the way it fits and I know my next one will be a perfect fit.

My daughters I did a straight 2T and it is perfect on her. she wore it all day then threw a fit about taking it off for shower time.  So I would say she is pretty happy with it.

I cant wait to try another one for myself maybe in dress length and something a but mort flowy that Cotton Lycra. Maybe my go to DBP.

I just love how the print compliments the pattern and my unintentional placement came out great.

Now for photos.

I usually do out side photos but it took a turn for the nasty and dropped 30 dropped 30 degrees and started freezing raining so that was not an option for my little. So we made it work with help of my wonderful husband we were able to grab some photos inside. So here they are.
