It's the most WONDERFUL time of the week.... 🏗🎄

Heads up, there are affiliate links in this blog post. If you see words that are blue you can click on them and they will take you to the fabric or patterns listed in this blog. They don't cost you anything to use, but help support my sewing budget 😘

When I saw this weeks Feature Friday I instantly fell in LOVE!!!! I have a weak spot for heathered colorways (they add so much dimension) and the Construction Christmas design is subtle enough that it can be used all year without looking out of place!!!

I KNEW I needed to make us "matchy but not matching" family outfits using it for our Christmas card this year and ohh my goodness it turned out AMAZING!!!! 😍😍😍😍

I used a different pattern for everbody, but brought the Heathered Ash Gray throughout all of them to help them look cohesive without being too similar. You know it's a WINNER when everyone loves their new sweaters enought that they cooperate so that you can actually get everyone looking pretty decent in a group shot 🤣

Check out this FUN Tik Tok they helped me make to celebrate these AMAZING new designs 😍

Now the deets:
For E's top I used the Ellie and Mac Around the Block Hoodie and colorblocked it with Heathered Red and Heathered White North Pole French Terry. I love how the middle stripe adds character to the sweater and the line follows onto the sleeves. I could of used a third color, and E was a little unhappy that it was all red because "Blues my favorite color MOM", but I thought for more of a Christmas vibe sticking to just red and white would be a very subtle nod to candy canes 🤣💕

For T2's top I used Apple Tree Patterns BANFF sweatshirt Heathered  Ice Blue North Pole French Terry for the main sweater and Heathered White French Terry for the snowy peaks on the mountain. I mean just look at that SWEET mountain detail 😍😍😍 Who'd of thunk my quilting skills would come in handy when sewing garments?!?!?! This design was actually a lot easier to achieve than I expected!

T1 got a sweet new Lotteberry from Sinclair Patterns! I used the Heathered Ice Blue and Heathered White North Pole in French Terry to achieve his look. I LOVE how the lines of this hoodie give it so much dimension and character. The thing that really drew me to this pattern though was that they have Slim sizes.... T1 is pretty thin so sometimes when I make him things they look baggier than I'd like and I'm not a big fan of grading patterns. The slim size fits him PERFECTLY.... This is definitely going to be one of my new regular go to's! It would be especially AWESOME for using panels!! 😍

For A I decided to use the Hudson Hoodie from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop. Heathered White North Pole and Heathered Olive French Terry brought ths design to life! I just LOVE the details on the North Pole prints so much because they are cute enough for littles, but still mature enough for older kiddos to rock too 😍 The Hudson has so many different color blocking options and I love that the clean lines follow through to the back so you don't get that awkward color change at the side. If you're just starting down the colorblock path I would definitely start with this pattern!

For my Hubby I KNEW I had to use the Heathered Olive French Terry, it's one of the only colors he likes wearing so I was SUPER EXCITED when I saw it!!! Since he is the face and covermodel for Petite Stitchery and Co's Foster Hoodie I of course had to make that one for him right?!?!?! 🤣 Everytime I ask him if he wants me to make him anything he ALWAYS requests "More of those one hoodies" 🙄🤣 I LOVE how the pattern is LOADED with colorblock options so I can feel like I'm making something new and different everytime! The fit is PERFECT too.... Just loose enough to be comfortable, but not too loose so it looks baggy.💕

Last, but certainly not least, is my AMAZINGLY comfortable Logan from Made for Mermaids. This is supposed to be a hooded sweatshirt, but since I'm not big on hoods I decided to omit that and figure out how to put a neckband on instead. I remembered someone telling me once that to figure out what size neckband you need you just take 80% of the neck opening. Now I'm 90% sure someone told me this and that I didn't just dream it up, but I decided to go with it and it turned out AMAZING!!!! I used the hem sleeve length, but I do prefer my sleeves longer so I might end up putting some gray cuffs on it later. I'm not usually one for wearing white as it tends to wash me out, but the Heathered White is PERFECT especially when paired with the Heathered Red (I wonder if my subconscience is telling me it's time to put away the salted caramel and switch over to peppermint because I'm getting candy cane esque vibes again 🤔🤣)

My family isn't the only ones rocking these AMAZING prints right now though, and of course I HAVE to share the FABULOUS makes from some of our AWESOME team 😍😍😍😍

Ohh my goodness those Origami Doves 😍😍😍😍 It's the little detail of the Cherry Blossom that does it for me! Well if you don't mind I am going to go fill my cart up with even more of these prints because I am definitely feeling like they are screaming to be made into some family jammies, and well at 25% off right now how can I resist?!?!?

xoxo- Melissa 😘
