Fam Jam Day 9- Charlene DuBeau and the Ellie and Mac Good Baby Romper
Hello! Welcome to the next stop of the Fam Jam Blog tour! There have been a lot of really great pajama patterns showcased so far. I decided to sew up the Good Baby Romper from Ellie and Mac in the Floral Mouse on Oatmeal rib knit.

I love the Good Baby Romper as pjs because I think it looks so adorable on my youngest and who doesn’t love a good romper pattern. I love the envelope neckline and even though it took my daughter some time to figure out how to get in and out of it, she is a pro at it now.

A + E has so many amazing prints with so many bases to choose from. I chose the Mouse Floral on Oatmeal print because I knew my daughter would love it. Purple is her favorite color and she loves all floral prints. I do not think she realizes that the flowers form a mouse head, but I know her siblings will catch on. While I have made this pattern in double brushed poly before, I am really loving it in rib knit! It has so much stretch and it’s lightweight enough to wear all year round, whether as a layered piece or by itself.

I am a little bummed that the pattern only goes up to size 4T (thank goodness for my little one being on the small side) so I did modify the pattern by adding two inches to the bodice, split between the shorts cut line and waistline, and added sleeve cuffs. If you have any pattern suggestions for a similar pattern that goes up higher than 4T, let me know! If you decide to make this pattern in some A + E fabric, be sure to share your make in the main Facebook group so I can see it.
