Deck the Halls with Ash and Elm Day 5

Deck the Halls with Ash and Elm Day 5

So today's sew-along didn't have a LOT of sewing in it, but sewing up those bias stripes was pretty intense so I'll allow it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm not much of a braider, and I'm not much of a headband wearer, but for some reason when I came across this pattern I KNEW I had to try it. My biggest problem with headbands is that they don't like to stay on, or if they do want to stay on they are SUPER tight and I can't stand to wear them for very long. So when I saw that Violette Field Threads had a FREE tutorial for making a braided headband I was like:

I am so happy that I decided to give it a try too, because not only is this headband CUTE, but it's so comfy to wear and half the time I forget I even have it on!!
I used some AMAZING elastic from elasticbytheyard.com if you haven't checked out all their FABULOUS selection I definitely recommend them! Not only do they have a HUGE variety of Fold Over Elastic, but their shipping is ⚡ fast too! 😍

I used some GORGEOUS festive FOE along with some of our phenomenal Cotton woven to create this ADORABLE headband!

If I'm being honest though as AMAZING as it is to finally get to sew some of these AWESOME patterns that have been on my to-sew list for a VERY long time, what's even better is getting to sew it up with YOU!! I have been so inspired and amazed at the creations everyone has come up with and I can not wait to make some of these headbands using french terry, sweatshirt knit, and all the other scraps I have in my stash 😍 Thank you so so much for being such an inspiration 💕

xoxo- Melissa 😘
