Christmas in July : Day 15
Today lets look at the day camp set by peek-a-boo pattern shop.
A simple and comfortable set meant to allow children to play. this pattern is $5 on their website but if you join their facebook group there is a code to get it free!
I had the perfect panel for this top, however choosing fabrics to finish out the set was a bit more challenging simply due to how bare my stash has become with all the sewing I have been doing lately. I ended up using scraps ( again I know its getting out of hand, but hey waste not!). I found a highlighter green/yellow rayon lycra and a red wicking jersey in my scrap bin. both of which matched the panel really well.
This pattern takes simplicity to the perfect level. In sizes 2T- 5T its a great quick set for those kids that seem to ruin everything a the blink of an eye. The pattern includes a woven short pattern and a knit tee pattern with optional woven pocket.
I think I will use this set to make each of my kids a few solid color sets since they need "accident/Play clothes" at school. Yes that is what the school supply list says for our preschool class. And perfect timing too because our solid cotton lycra pre-order closes today! so get those orders in to make your kids all the solid play clothes they could need!
