52 Week Sewing Challenge- Week 4

52 Week Sewing Challenge- Week 4

Well I made it through 3 weeks into the 52 Week Sewing Challenge before I had to reject a challenge. I'm both very proud of myself and at the same time dissapointed that I wasn't able to hold out longer.ย

I had every intention of making an AWESOME cushion using this pattern from Dhurata Davies, but sadly between being INCREDIBLY sick and having no extra energy I just couldn't bring myself to add another project to my list. ๐Ÿ˜ซ I DEFINITELY plan on making one soon though because it looks like an AMAZING pattern, but for my week 4 challenge I decided that I was going to stick with my Sew-Along make for the week.... The Agility Tank from 5 out of 4 Patternsย ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I have been wanting to sew this pattern up for a VERY long time, but between the built in sports bra, and the binding it was a bit intimidating. I've always LOVED the look, but just wasn't confident with my skills or to be honest that it would be able to support me the way I prefer. Like I've been saying for a while now, though, I am NOT letting fear hold me back this year and decided what better time than now to give it a go.

Not only was this pattern WAY EASIER than I had expected it to be, but it is SO CUTE and fits PERFECTLY!! I felt confident wearing this without any extra support, and after adding 3" to the lengthย  absolutley LOVE everything about it. In fact I plan on making about a dozen more because I will be LIVING in this top All.Summer.Long!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ˜Ž

Iย mean how GORGEOUS is this???? I used some of our PHENOMENAL Luxe Double Brushed Poly in the Boho Queen Watercolor Butterflies*ย and can I just say not only is it one of the COMFIEST shirts I've ever owned, butย sewing it up was an absolute DREAM ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Because it's a thicker base my machine LOVED it and even on the binding didn't even put up a struggle!!! If you love the feel of DBP, but HATE sewing it then you NEED to try this Luxe.... I warn you though, once you get your hands on it you will never want to go back to regular DBP!!

So I guess all things considered to say that I was dissapointed in not completing this weeks challenge would be inaccurate. I am EXTREMELY happy with my new tank and that I FINALLY sewed up this AMAZING pattern. I have absolutely NO REGRETS with this weeks challenge and am looking forward to seeing where the rest of the year takes me now that I have my first rejected challenge out of the way ๐Ÿ˜…

xoxo- Melissa ๐Ÿ˜˜
